Air Clamp

  • The Air Clamps sit within the Air Clamp Rails of the 5000, 8000 and 8500 CMC models.

  • There is one Air Clamp in the Vertical Rail and two in the Horizontal Rails.

  • Just before cutting, the Air Clamps will inflate against the matboard to hold it in place while it is cutting.

  • After cutting, the Air Clamps will deflate so you can remove the matboard.

Connections:

  • The Air Clamps sit within the Air Clamp Rails of the 5000, 8000 and 8500 CMC models.

  • There is one Air Clamp in the Vertical Rail and two in the Horizontal Rails.

  • The Air Clamp is controlled by the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry and the ECU/Driver Pack signals.

Troubleshooting:

  • If the matboard is being pushed aside when you try to cut because the Air Clamps are not inflating:

    • Make sure that the Air Compressor is on.

  • If the Air Clamps are not inflating, listen for an air leak in the clamp.

    • If there is air leaking, the Air Clamp needs to be replaced.

  • If the Air Clamps are not inflating and there is no sound of an air leak:
