ECU
ECU Usage:
The ECU controls the electrical signals between the Computer, Gantry, Head, Clamps and the Control Panel or Emergency Stop Button on CMCs that support that feature.
Typically mounted on the back or side of the Board.
Powering down the ECU during operation (e.g., aborting a cut) may cause the Motors to lose position; to resync, close FrameShop, turn the ECU Off then back On, reopen FrameShop, and Align the Head.
The ECU replaces the previously used Driver Packs.
