ECU Usage:

• The ECU controls the electrical signals between the Computer, Gantry, Head, Clamps and the Control Panel or Emergency Stop Button on CMCs that support that feature.

• Typically mounted on the back or side of the Board.

• Powering down the ECU during operation (e.g., aborting a cut) may cause the Motors to lose position; to resync, close FrameShop, turn the ECU Off then back On, reopen FrameShop, and Align the Head.

• The ECU replaces the previously used Driver Packs.
