Vertical Belt

  • This section provides definitions, hardware support and troubleshooting for the Vertical Belt which is housed within the Gantry and controls the Vertical movement of the Head to ensure precise movement.

  • The Vertical Belt, housed within the Gantry, controls the Head's Vertical movement to ensure precise positioning.

    • On some models, the Vertical Belt is located behind the Gantry Cover.

Connections:

  • The Gantry moves Horizontally across the Board via the Drive Belt, and the Head moves Vertically along the Gantry via the Vertical Belt.

  • The Head is attached to the Gantry via the Head Grabber Arm which moves vertically on the Gantry via the Vertical Belt.

  • As the Gantry moves horizontally, the Head moves vertically via the Vertical Belt and the Footblock rotates to apply the Cartridge to the matboard.
