The Gantry is a spanning framework which attaches to the top and bottom of the Board and moves horizontally across it along the Drive Belt.
Connections:
The Drive Belt lays Horizontally at the top and the bottom of the Board and runs through the Gantry.
The Head is attached to the Gantry via the Head Grabber Arm and moves vertically along the Gantry Vertical Belt.
The Head contains the Footblock which holds the selected Cartridge for cutting or applying details to matboard.
As the Gantry moves horizontally, the Head moves vertically and its Footblock rotates to apply the Cartridge to the matboard.
The Air Valve Assembly is located at the top of the Gantry under the Gantry Cover.
The ECU/Driver Pack attaches to the top back of the Gantry.
The Gantry has either a one-piece or a two-piece cover.
Troubleshooting:
If the Clamps are not Activating:
Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.
Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.
Check the Clamp Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
If the VPO Head is not Lifting/Lowering to the material:
Make sure the VPO is not set too low.
Check the Head Lift Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
If the Non-VPO Head is not Lowering/Lifting up from the material:
If the Blade Cartridge is not Plunging:
Check the Blade Cartridge Plunge Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
If the vertical cuts are crooked, check to make sure the Red Lines on the Drive Belt line up to the Red Lines on the Toothed Pulley on the Gantry.
If the Red Lines do not line up, the Drive Belt needs to be realigned.
