Air Regulator

  • The Air Regulator controls the primary Air Pressure for the CMC and helps control the pressure for the Clamps, Head Lift, Head Plunge, Blade Plunge and Blade Depth.

Usage:

  • The air pressure for the Air Regulator is usually set around 60-70 psi.

    • It is set at the factory and does not need adjusting.

  • The Air Regulator is self-releasing when the Air Compressor is turned off.

  • Check the Air Regulator at least once a week for any buildup of moisture or oil.

Connections:

  • The Air Regulator is connected between the Board and the Air Compressor.

Controlled by:

  • The Air Regulator is controlled by Air Pressure from the Air Compressor.

  • The Air Regulator controls the primary Air Pressure for the CMC and helps control the pressure for the Clamps, Head Lift/Drop, Blade Plunge and Blade Depth.

Troubleshooting:

  • The matboard is being pushed aside when you try to cut because the Air Clamps are not inflating.

    • Make sure that the Air Compressor is on.

  • When the Air Compressor is turned on, there is a lot of air escaping from the Air Regulator.

    • This is normal and it will continue until the Air Regulator builds up enough pressure to seal itself off.

  • There is some water in the Air Regulator.
