Add LetterMat Opening

Click on Add LetterMat Opening button from the openings tab.

The LetterMat is placed on work space where it can be edited.

NOTE: For optimum results, use LetterMat with Keep Aspect Ratio checked.

Click on properties tab with LetterMat/TTF selected.

Text: Enter desired text for the LetterMat/TTF.

[?] (TTF Only): Click on the question mark [?] to open the standard Windows character map to select extended characters within the TTF. Note that not all extended characters may be available.

Font Name: Select desired font from the dropdown control by clicking on new font.

Width/Height: Enter width/height of LetterMat/TTF.

  • Text Size: Edit text size for overall width and height.

  • Letter Size: Edit letter size for the individual letters.

Keep Aspect Ratio (LetterMat only): Select Keep

Aspect Ratio to keeps the font height/width aspect ratio.

Unselect Keep Aspect Ratio to change height/width independently.

Min Height (LetterMat only): Displays the smallest height this font can cut.

Kerning: Increase Kerning to add space between letters, decrease to lessen space between letters.

Tracking: Increase Tracking to add space between words, decrease to lessen space between words.

Direction (LetterMat only): Select direction for the LetterMat: Horizontal or Vertical.

Justify (LetterMat only): On vertical LetterMats, select Left, Right or Center justification.

Cartridge Selection: Click on the Cartridge Selection button Cartridge and select the desired Cartridge for this LetterMat/TTF from the dropdown control.

Default Cartridge is the 45° normal bevel Cartridge.
If a Cartridge is not licensed, it will be disabled.

Type: Select the desired bevel type from the dropdown control.

  • Normal Bevel: Cut the object as a normal bevel.

  • Reverse Bevel: Cut the object as a reverse bevel.

  • V-Groove: Cut the object as a V-Groove.

  • Drop: Select drop to use the fallout of the object.

  • Two Layers: Select two layers to cut the drop openings of the object on the bottom layer and the rest of the object on the top layer.
