Borders toggle appears brighter when on.

  • Borders On allows object edges/centers to snap to border lines.

  • Borders Off allows object edges to be placed without snapping to border lines.

Edit Borders

Edit Borders

Place four 3x5 (7x13 cm) #101 Rectangles onto a 16x20 (40x50 cm) Work Space.

Make sure Borders are toggled on.

Click on one of the green Border Lines.

Click on the Properties Tab.

Enter 1.5 (3.5 cm) for the top, left, right and bottom borders.

Select Apply Borders To: Top Layer.

When working with borders, pay special attention to Apply Borders To, as it controls whether objects will snap the top layer to the border or snap the bottom layer to the border, as shown exaggerated here.

Align to Borders

Align to Borders

If necessary, click on the Work Space to unselect the openings.

Click on an opening and drag it to the upper left corner. Feel it snap to the Border.

Click and drag each opening so that there is one opening in each corner of the borders.

The openings will snap into place.

Now all of the openings have been easily snapped to the borders.

Center over Borders

Center over Borders

Click and drag each opening so they snap to the side border lines, and center over the middle border lines.

Openings can also center to the middle of the mat in this fashion.

The openings will snap to this position.

The openings are now placed 1.5 (3.5 cm) from the edge of the mat and centered on the edges.
