Outside Oval Rotation (V-Groove): FrameShop Configurations Screen

V-Groove Outside Oval Rotation

V-Groove Outside Oval Rotation

Adjust the Outside Oval Rotation if you are getting Bumps or Feathers between where the blade plunges in and where it retracts from the matboard on an oval V-Groove.

The Outside Oval Rotation field in the V-Groove configuration controls how much the foot block will rotate before cutting.

The outside cuts of the V-Groove are exterior cuts, and cut into the matboard and not the V-Groove fallout. They cut on the second pass of the V-Groove, and are cut in a counterclockwise direction.

If you have too much Outside Oval Rotation on an oval V-Groove, you will get a Bump, too little rotation and you will get a Feather.
