Plunge (Tool Specific): FrameShop Configurations Screen

Plunge

Plunge

Selecting Plunge* will allow the selected non-blade tool (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl) to plunge and unplunge between segments of an object (i.e., at the ends of lines and in the corners of a rectangle).

Plunge does not keep the tool plunged between the objects in the design (i.e., between the openings in the design).

Selecting plunge can potentially leave a dot of ink where the pen is initially plunged at the beginning of each segment.

The default setting is that Plunge is unchecked.

*This is different from the Plunge Count, which sets the number of blade plunges before the CMC stops for a Blade Change.

Select Whether to Plunge or Unplunge Between Segments

Select Plunge

Select Plunge

Select Plunge to plunge and unplunge at each corner segment of the object (displayed here as black dots).

Plunge Checked Keeps the Footblock Plunged for the Duration of Applying the Object

Unselect Plunge

Unselect Plunge

Unselect Plunge to keep the footblock plunged for the duration of each object as it is applied.

The tool will now remain plunged for the duration of drawing/cutting the object without unplunging and plunging in each corner or at the beginning of each segment until it has completed.
