This section provides definitions, hardware support and troubleshooting for the Driver Pack, which is a computerized component that manages the electrical subsystems, regulating signals and powering the CMC and its functions.
The Driver Pack is a computerized component that manages the electrical subsystems, regulating signals and powering the CMC and its functions.
The Driver Pack was replaced by the ECU in later models.
Connections:
The Driver Pack is connected between the Computer and the Gantry and through the Control Panel on CMCs that include that feature.
Controlled by:
The Driver Pack controls the connections between the Computer and the CMC via the connections through the Gantry and the Control Panel for the CMCs that include that feature.
The Gantry controls the Head Z-Axis, Gantry X and Y-Axis, Head Lift/Drop, Footblock Rotation and Clamp Activation.
Troubleshooting:
Nothing happens when you try to cut:
Is the Driver Pack on?
Pull out the Emergency Stop Button and Align the Head again.
Are you out of Corners? Check the License Screen.
Has the Product Key timed out? Check the License Screen.
Check the Driver Pack connections into the back of the Control Panel, Gantry and the Computer and make sure they are plugged in tight.
Is the design too big to cut? Rotate the design.
Turn off the Driver pack and close the software. Turn on the Driver Pack and restart the software.
