Unpacking and Setup: Eclipse Pro Legacy

Setting Up the Machine and Computer
This section will help you unbox and hook up your Eclipse Mat cutting machine.
Please follow the steps carefully.

1. To un-crate the Eclipse, remove the top first.

2. Remove the front and back (the largest panels).

3. Remove the sides and the 2x4 braces.

4. Carefully lift the Eclipse from the pallet and place it on the floor, upright.

5. Remove and unbox the computer, monitor, keyboard, monitor stand (optional), and all cables from the pallet.

6. Place the computer on the lower left end of the Eclipse floor stand.

7. Place the optional monitor stand or a table to the left of the Eclipse.

8. Place the monitor, keyboard, and mouse on the stand or table.

9. Making sure the Eclipse power cord is not yet plugged in, plug the power cables into the computer and monitor and then into the outlets under the back of the Eclipse.

10. Plug the keyboard into the computer. (The optional stand includes a keyboard extension cable)

11. Plug the mouse into the computer. (The optional stand includes a mouse extension cable)

12. Plug the monitor into the computer. (The optional stand includes a monitor extension cable)

13. Carefully plug the Controller cable (100 Pin) into the back of the electrical panel.

14. Carefully plug the other end of the Controller cable (100 Pin) into the back of the computer.

15. The motors may have been disconnected for shipping. Check the connectors on the X and Y motors (two large motors which move the cutting Head) and plug them together if necessary.

16. Connect your air hose to the air connection on the left side. Turn on the pressure.
17. Now you may plug in the Eclipse main power cable into a dedicated 110v outlet.
18. Flip the breakers on the right side of the Eclipse to on (red should show).
19. Place a Slip Sheet (a full sheet of matboard used to protect the Blade when cutting through the mat) on the machine’s cutting surface, sliding it all the way down and to the left in the blue clamps. You may tape it down if you would like.
Congratulations! You are ready to turn on the Eclipse.
