Install DMC1832 Controller Card into Computer

Install DMC1832 Controller Card into Computer

  • With the computer off, remove the cover (refer to the owner’s manual).

  • Install the DMC1832 Controller Card into the PCI Slot, gently pressing down on both ends to make sure it is securely installed.

  • Secure the Controller Card to the computer with a screw through the circuit board bracket into the computer.

  • Replace the cover.

Disconnect ICM1100 Breakout Box

  • Make sure that the Eclipse machine is turned off and unplugged.

  • Remove the back cover using a 7/16” socket wrench on the 6 bolts on the back.

  • Using a 260/3.0x60 slot screwdriver, loosen the each of the screws on the ICM1100 Breakout Box that secure the connection wires.

  • Pull each of the wires out of the Breakout Box.

  • Press on the release lever on each side of the ribbon cables; pull out the ribbon cables.

  • Using a 3mm Allen Wrench, remove the ICM1100 Breakout Box from the Eclipse.

  • Open the wire covers by pulling them slightly to the side, then pull out.

  • Unscrew the two Phillips Screws holding the Interconnection Cable to the underneath of the Eclipse.

  • Pull out the Interconnection Cable.

  • The Interconnection Cable has been removed.

Connect the ICM2900 Breakout Box

Connect the ICM2900 Breakout Box

  • Using a 5/64” Allen Wrench, remove the 5/64” screw from each end of the ICM2900 Breakout Box.

  • Using the same 5/64” screw, attach the brackets.

  • Note that the brackets will both face the same direction, and are placed “L” upward from the top of the Breakout Box.

  • Use the 3mm Allen Screw you removed earlier, secure the ICM2900 Breakout Box to the Eclipse.

Connecting Wires

  • The individual plugs on the ICM2900 contains slots for four wires, and can be pulled out to make insertion easier if desired.

  • Following the information on Table 1, match the label on the wire to the label on the ICM2900.

  • Insert the wire into the correct terminal, then use the 260/3.0x60 slot screwdriver to tighten into place.

  • For the wires designated as “Wire Pulled - Not used”, they must be completely removed.

  • Follow the wire to the source connection, loosen the screw holding it in place, and remove the wire.

Connect the Interconnection Cable

Connect the Interconnection Cable

  • Feed the Interconnection Cable through the access hole on the bottom and plug into the back of the Breakout Box.

  • Use the Zip Tie to secure it by running it through the small loop in the access hole, then around the cable.

  • Plug the other end of the Interconnection Cable to the computer, into the Controller Card.

  • Replace the wire covers and the back cover to the Eclipse.
