To cut a mat using the MatDesigner program, follow the following steps:
Design a mat using the MatDesigner Software.
Click Cut to go to the Cut Preview Screen.
Load the matboard into the machine. The matboard is normally loaded with the color or face paper down. If the option “Cut From Front” is selected or you are cutting a V-Groove on this layer, however, load the matboard face up. Push the matboard tight up against both clamps. Make sure that the board is loaded in the same orientation it was designed in. The status bar displays the width and height of the needed size to cut this project.
Secure the clamps by turning the clamp switch on.
Select the layer to cut if it is not already selected by Clicking the desired layer.
Click Cut.
If prompted, Click the Align the Head screen.
If the clamps have not been turned on when “Cut” is pressed, the machine will not cut and a message will be displayed to prompt the user to secure the clamps. Secure the clamps and press “Retry” to continue. To cancel the cut press “Cancel.”
The machine will move out and cut the mat. A display will appear with the options to pause or abort the machine. When the cut is finished the machine will return to its home position
10. Turn the clamps off and remove the mat.
