Adjusting V-Grooves

Adjusting V-Grooves

  • The Troubleshooting screen will display the Flare and Swoop sections for Non-Oval V-Grooves.

  • Select which part of the V-Groove to edit (Outside, Inside, Both) by clicking the desired radio-buttons between the Less Flare and Less Swoop sections.

  • Select which part of the object to edit by clicking the Less Flare or Less Swoop buttons.

  • If the Outside cut of the V-Groove has a Swoop, select Less Swoop.

  • If the Outside cut of the V-Groove has a Flare, select Less Flare.

  • If the Inside cut of the V-Groove has a Swoop, select Less Swoop.

  • If the Inside cut of the V-Groove has a Flare, select Less Flare.

A Swoop in the Outside cut of the V-Groove is where the corners Curve Inward toward the V-Groove.

If the Outside cut of the V-Groove has a Swoop, Decrease the Outside Rotation.

The Rotation on V-Grooves controls for Swoops and Flares on V-Grooves.

A Flare on the Outside cut of the V-Groove is where the corners Curve Away from the V-Groove.

If the Outside cut of the V-Groove has a Flare, Increase the Outside Rotation.

A Swoop on the Inside cut of the V-Groove is where the corners Curve Inward toward the V-Groove.

If the Inside cut of the V-Groove has a Swoop, Increase the Inside Rotation.

A Flare on the Inside cut of the V-Groove is where the corners Curve Away from the V-Groove.

If the Inside cut of the V-Groove has a Flare, Decrease the Inside Rotation.

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
