Vectorize Tab: FrameShop Trace Editor

The Vectorize Tab provides the tools to vectorize an image.

Vectorizing will turn a rastor (image) into a vector (cuttable format). After you have vectorized the image, you can then edit the vectors as desired.

Take Picture 

Select this topic to see information on Taking a Picture that you can either draw over or use the Vectorization feature. This requires FrameShop Visualization.

Load File Image 

Select this topic to see information on Load a File Image into Trace that you can either draw over, or use the Vectorization feature. 

Load Server Image 

Select this topic to see information on Load a Server Image saved on the server from the FrameShop Visualization that you can either draw over, or use the Vectorization feature. This requires FrameShop Visualization.

Opacity 

Select this topic to see information on determining the Opacity visibility of the image loaded into the background to make the drawing lines easier to see.

Image Source

Select this topic to see information on the Image Source which displays the image source and image name if applicable.

Turn Policy 

Select this topic to see information on the Turn Policy function which denotes the decision making process used to calculate paths when converting an image.

Ignore Area 

Select this topic to see information on the Ignore Area function which is a threshold used to determine the minimum size of paths.

Tolerance 

Select this topic to see information on the Tolerance function which is the tolerance of the curve optimization algorithm.

Angle Limit 

Select this topic to see information on the Angle Limit which determines the amount of path smoothing performed. 

Threshold 

Select this topic to see information on the Threshold which sets the degree of detail captured from the image.

Optimize 

Select this topic to see information on the Optimize feature which merges together as many of the circuit segments as possible to reduce complexity and improve cutting.

Set to Defaults 

Select this topic to see information on the Set to Defaults function which will reset the Vectorize settings back to the default values.

Clear Partial Image Bounds 

Select this topic to see information on the Clear Partial Image Bounds feature which clears the Bounding Rectangle used to vectorize a partial area of a design.

Vectorize 

Select this topic to see information on the Vectorize function which will convert the image into arcs, curves, lines and splines with the currently selected settings.
