Tolerance: FrameShop Trace Editor

Tolerance

Tolerance

The Tolerance is the total permissible variation of the curve optimization algorithm. The default setting is .2.

Using the Tolerance Setting

Using the Tolerance Setting

Load an image

Leave the Tolerance at the default value.

Click the Vectorize button.

There are a couple of places where the vectorization didn't match up with the edges of the design.

Re-adjust the Tolerance number.

Click the Vectorize button again.

You may have to play with the numbers to see what will work with your particular image.

The outcome is closer to the edges of our specific image.
