• The Air Valve Assembly, is located at the top of the Gantry under the Gantry Cover, and controls the mechanical functions of the Clamps Activation, Head Lift and the Blade Cartridge Plunge.

Connections:

• The Air Valve Assembly is located at the top of the Gantry under the Gantry Cover.

Troubleshooting:

• Q: If the The Clamps are not engaging:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines Air Lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • For the Z Series, see if the Mat Clamp Pressure Knob on the Control Panel is set to the low setting.

  • For the Z Series, make sure the Clamp Pressure Adjustment on the Control Panel isn’t set too low.

  • Are the connection cables for Check the ECU/Driver Pack connections into the back of the Control Panel, Gantry, and the Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?make sure they are tight.

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack and close the software.

    • Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack and restart the software.

  • Check the Clamp Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry.

    • The Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

• Q: If the VPO The Head is not Lifting/Lowering to the materialBoard:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines Air Lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Make sure the VPO on the Head is not set too low.

  • Are the connection cables for Check the ECU/Driver Pack connections into the back of the Control Panel, Gantry, and the Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?make sure they are tight.

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack and close the software.

    • Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack and restart the software.

  • Check the Head Lift Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

• Q: If the Non-VPO Head is not Lowering/Lifting up from the materialThe Blade Cartridge is not Plunging:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines Air Lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Are the connection cables for Check the ECU/Driver Pack connections into the back of the Control Panel, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.

  • Check the Head Lift Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

  Q: If the Blade Cartridge is not Plunging:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?the Computer and make sure they are tight.

  • For the Z Series, make sure that the pressure for the Variable Pressure Optimization on the Head has not been turned down too far.

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack and close the software.

    • Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack and restart the software.

  • Check the Blade Cartridge Plunge Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
