Air Valve Assembly Replacement: CMC 8500e

The Air Valve Assembly is located at the top of the Gantry, and controls the plunging of the Head and the plunging of the Blade.

Turn Off Air and Remove Hood

Turn Off Air and Remove Hood
Turn off the air supply and remove the upper hood by removing the one screw that holds it in place.	Turn off the air supply and remove the upper hood

Unscrew Air Valve Assembly From the Gantry

Unscrew Air Valve Assembly From the Gantry
Locate the Air Valve Assembly at the top left side of the Gantry by standing in front of the Gantry and looking straight through the wires/Air Lines to the back plate of the Gantry. Locate the two Allen Screws holding the Air Valve Assembly in place.

Unplug Power Plugs

Unplug Power Plugs

Disconnect Air Lines

Disconnect Air Lines

Screw in the Replacement Air Valve Assembly to the Gantry

Connect Air Line Connectors
