Template Properties

Use the Template Properties to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the template objects.

Click on a Template Opening. 

Click on the Properties Tab to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for template openings.

Optionally, Right-Click on the template opening and select Edit to open the Template Properties.

The Template Opening section allows the user to select a different template, or add a label to the current template.

Style

The Style button displays the current Template Name and Number button.

Click the Template Number and Name button in the Style field,

Select a different template from the Template Library to replace the current template.

Label

Enter the desired text in the Label field which will be displayed on the Template opening. 

This overwrites the default label displaying the opening size if toggled on in the Defaults or on the Editor Edit Menu.

The default setting to Auto Label Multi Openings can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

Dimensions

Dimensions

Use the Dimensions Section to edit and/or lock the template object dimensions, set the X/Y positioning, or rotate the Template.

Width

Enter the template Width dimension.

Enter the template Height dimension. 

Sizes Button     

The Sizes button displays a list of Recent and Standard sizes. 
           
Swap Button   

The Swap button switches the values between the width and height fields.

The default setting for the Sizes dropdown control can be set in the Admin > Defaults section.

The default setting for the Outside and Opening Size can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

Lock or Unlock Size

Click the unlock icon toggle to Lock the size of the current template opening. 

Conversely, click the locked icon toggle to Unlock the size of the current template opening.

X and Y Position Fields

X (Position Field)

The X Position field is used to manually set the horizontal position of the selected template object (lines shown for illustration). Enter the new X Position to move the currently selected openings.

Y (Position Field)

The Y Position field is used to manually set the vertical position of the selected template object (lines shown for illustration). Enter the new Y Position to move the currently selected openings.

Rotation Entry Field

Enter the desired degree of rotation in the Rotation* field.

The currently selected Template will pivot from the center point.  


*To rotate a group of template objects, see Rotation on the Advanced Tab. 

*To lock a group of template objects together before rotating them as one object, see Group Openings Button and then use the Rotate field under the Merged Object Properties, or the Rotation button on the Advanced Tab.

Use the Template Options Reveals tab section to select number of layers, reveals, Reverse Bevel, and cartridge selection.

Number of Layers

Enter the number of desired 

Layers for this template opening. 

Each layer entry is identified by a layer number; the topmost layer is labelled Top.

Reveal

Enter the reveal amount for each layer in the Reveal field. 

The topmost layer is labelled Top.

Set the defaults for the Layer Direction in the Admin > Defaults section.

The default setting for the number of layers can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

Click the RB button to make all of the layers a Reverse Bevel. 

Select the RB checkbox to make the current template layer a Reverse Bevel.   

Cartridge Icon

Click on the Cartridge Icon and select the desired cartridge for the current layer. 

Availability of Other Cartridges

Note that not all cartridges are available in all scenarios.

For instance, you cannot select the Deboss Cartridge for a Template. 

Instead, you would need to create a Deboss opening and then select the template shape for it in the Deboss Properties.

Edit the specific parameters for this template in the Template Options Parameters tab.

The Template Options Parameters tab allows editing of the parameter attributes of the selected template. 

These attributes are directly related to the specific template selected. 

Edit each parameter as desired. 

The design changes immediately to reflect the parameter adjustments.

Template Parameter Map

Click on the Template Parameter Map button (displayed as [?]) on the Parameters tab.

A template map opens which will describe what each parameter field adjusts for the current template.
