CutArt Properties

Use the CutArt Properties to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the CutArt objects.

Click on a CutArt object.

Click on the Properties Tab to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for CutArt objects.

Optionally, Right-Click on the CutArt opening and select Edit to open the CutArt Properties.

CutArt Opening 

CutArt Opening 

The CutArt Opening section displays the current CutArt name, and allows user to add a label or select a different CutArt.

Name

The name of the current CutArt is displayed in the Name field. 
           
Label

Enter the desired text in the Label field which will be displayed on the CutArt opening. 

This overwrites the default label displaying the opening size if toggled on in the Defaults or on the Editor Edit Menu. 

Change CutArt

Click the Change CutArt button.

The Load CutArt screen opens to allow you to select a different CutArt.

Dimensions

Dimensions

Use the Dimension Section to edit and/or lock the CutArt object dimensions, set the X/Y positioning, rotate the CutArt, or view the CutArt Minimum Size.

Width

Enter the CutArt Width dimension.

Height

Enter the CutArt Height dimension. 

Sizes Button

The Sizes button displays a list of Recent and Standard sizes.

Swap Button

The Swap button switches the values between the width and height fields.

Set the Default to Enforce Minimum Sizes

The default setting to Enforce Minimum Sizes on CutArt can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

Lock or Unlock CutArt Size

Click the unlock icon toggle to Lock the size of the current CutArt opening. 

Conversely, click the locked icon toggle to Unlock the size of the current CutArt opening.

X and Y Position Fields

X (Position Field)

The X Position field is used to manually set the horizontal position of the selected object (lines shown for illustration). 

Y (Position Field)

The Y Position field is used to manually set the vertical position of the selected object (lines shown for illustration).

Rotation Entry Field

Enter the desired degree of rotation in the Rotation field.

The currently selected CutArt will pivot from the center point.

To rotate a group of objects or to manually rotate an object, see Rotation on the Advanced Tab.  

Minimum Width and Height

Min Width 

The original CutArt width is displayed in the Min Width field.  

Min Height 

The original CutArt height is displayed in the Min Height field.

CutArt Options

CutArt Options

Use the CutArt Options section to select Mirror, KAR and Use Original Size for the CutArt.

Mirror the CutArt

Check the Mirror the CutArt checkbox to flip the CutArt horizontally.

The CutArt is mirrored horizontally. 

Keep Aspect Ratio

Check the Keep Aspect Ratio (KAR) checkbox to keep the CutArt height/width proportionate when resizing it.  

For best results, it is recommended to have KAR checked.

The CutArt will now be height/width proportionate and will remain height/width proportionate when being resized, preventing the CutArt from being skewed.

Use Original Size

Click the Use Original Size button to reset the selected CutArt back to the original size it was drawn. 

Cutting smaller than original size is not recommended, and may give unexpected results.

Cartridge Selection and Type

Use the Cartridge and Type section to select the desired Cartridge and Cartridge Type for the CutArt.

Cartridge Icon

Click on the Cartridge Icon. 

Select the desired cartridge for the current CutArt. 

Cartridge Type

When applicable, select the desired cartridge type from the Type dropdown control. 

Selections available are dependent upon the type of Cartridge tool selected.

For instance for Deboss, the selections available are the Deboss Wide, Deboss Medium, and Deboss Thin cartridges.
