Content Comparison

• The Air Valve Assembly is , located at the top of the Gantry under the Gantry Cover, controls the Clamps Activation, Head Lift and the Blade Cartridge Plunge.

• The Air Valve Assembly and the ECU/Driver Pack signals control:

  • Clamps Activation

  • Head Lift

  • Blade Cartridge Plunge

• There are test buttons on the Air Valve Assembly to evaluate each of these functions for troubleshooting.

Connections:

• The Air Valve Assembly is located at the top of the Gantry under the Gantry Cover.

Troubleshooting:

• If the Clamps are not engaging:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • For the Z Series, see if the Mat Clamp Pressure Knob on the Control Panel is set to the low setting.

  • For the Z Series, make sure the Clamp Pressure Adjustment on the Control Panel isn’t set too low.

  • Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.

  • Check the Clamp Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry.

    • The Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

• If the VPO Head is not Lifting/Lowering to the material:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Make sure the VPO on the Head is not set too low.

  • Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.

  • Check the Head Lift Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

• If the Non-VPO Head is not Lowering/Lifting up from the material:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.

  • Check the Head Lift Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.

• If the Blade Cartridge is not Plunging:

  • Check the Air Compressor and make sure it is on.

  • Check the air lines to make sure they are not kinked.

  • Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?

  • Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.

  • Check the Blade Cartridge Plunge Actuator Valve in the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry; the Air Valve Assembly may need to be replaced.
