Layer Direction in Trace

Take note that the Layer Direction of Bottom Up or Top Down controls how the mat layers are numbered in Trace.
- The Top mat layer is always displayed at the top of the Layers list.
- Layer direction Top Down counts down from the top mat.
- In this example, the top mat is labeled Layer 1, and the next layer down is labeled Layer 2, and the bottom mat is Labeled as Layer 3.

Layer Direction: Bottom Up is the preferred direction.
- When you Offset an object to create another layer, that new layer will be the Top layer.
Layer Direction: Top Down is not recommended.
- When you Offset an object to create another layer, that new layer will be the Bottom layer, even though it is larger than the original object.
