Break and Join Segments

  • You can Manually Break and Join segments if performing a Merge is not giving you the expected result.

  • Hold down the CTRL key and click on each of the overlapping objects.

  • Click the Break button to break the segments where they intersect with another segment.

  • For Additional Information:

  • See Break to break the selected intersecting elements where they intersect.

  • See Edit > Break All Intersections to break all of the intersecting elements where they intersect.

The Break Tool tool is used to Bisect the Selected Segments at the point where they Intersect in the Trace software.

The Break All Intersections function bisects ALL Segments in the design where they intersect in the Trace software.

The Join button will connect the Selected Segments together as one object in Trace. 

The Auto Join Segments button will automatically join All Adjacent Segments together in Trace.
