Quick Calibration: Cut the Test Cut

  • Now we will cut the mat to see if the configurations for the current blade cartridge or bevel type needs to be adjusted.

  • The Cut Preview opens.

  • Cut the mat from the desired side of the mat with the desired cartridge, but do not cut the outside.

  • It will cut a 2x2” opening with 2” borders.   

Cut the Opening Without Cutting the Outside
  • Mark an X in the lower left corner of the mat before removing it from the CMC to indicate how it sat on the board.

  • Look at the mat you have cut:

    • Is it cut the correct size?

    • Is it cut in the correct place (measuring only the left and bottom border)?

    • Do any of the cuts go too far or are cut too short?

    • Are there Swoops or Flares in the corners?
