Quick Calibration: Cut the Test Cut

Now we will cut the mat to see if the configurations for the current blade cartridge or bevel type needs to be adjusted.

The Cut Preview opens.

Cut the mat from the desired side of the mat with the desired cartridge, but do not cut the outside.

It will cut a 2x2” opening with 2” borders.   

Mark an X in the lower left corner of the mat before removing it from the CMC to indicate how it sat on the board.

Look at the mat you have cut:

• Is it cut the correct size?

• Is it cut in the correct place (measuring only the left and bottom border)?

• Do any of the cuts go too far or are cut too short?

• Are there Swoops or Flares in the corners?
