8-Ply: Placing 8-Ply into the Clamps

  • These instructions will show you how to place 8-Ply Matboard into the Board Clamps.

  • Normally, you would place Two Layers of adequate size of disposable matboard under the Mat to be Cut.

  • For 8-Ply Matboard, you may need to remove one of these backing boards to make room for the thickness of the 8-Ply Matboard.

  • Place the matboard into the left corner of the CMC, making sure that the matboard nestles tightly into the Horizontal and Vertical Clamps.

  • This requires that you test the Blade Depth to make sure it is not too deep to avoid cutting through the one remaining backing board.
