8-Ply: Placing 8-Ply into the Clamps

These instructions will show you how to place 8-Ply Matboard into the Board Clamps.

Normally, you would place Two Layers of adequate size of disposable matboard under the Mat to be Cut.

For 8-Ply Matboard, you may need to remove one of these backing boards to make room for the thickness of the 8-Ply Matboard.

Place the matboard into the left corner of the CMC, making sure that the matboard nestles tightly into the Horizontal and Vertical Clamps.

This requires that you test the Blade Depth to make sure it is not too deep to avoid cutting through the one remaining backing board.
