The Normal Bevel Closed V-Groove involves two symmetrical cuts: one in the matboard and a corresponding cut in the fallout, both forming a mirrored arrangement. The matboard is sliced halfway through the thickness and the core is visible from the front.

First Cut: Cuts the Interior cut into the Fallout Clockwise.

Second Cut: Cuts the Exterior cut into the Matboard Counter-Clockwise.

Select V-Groove from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control to edit this configuration.

• Set the Pen defaults and settings for Pen designs (described below).

The Pen Cartridge is used to draw onto the surface of the matboard on the CMC to create a design.

• Select the Pen number to edit.

• The maximum number of Pens is 9.

• Enter the maximum number of Pens allowed in the software.

• The maximum number of Pens is 9.

• If the actual Pens being set up are different sizes, they will each have to be calibrated separately.

• Enter a description of the pen in the Label field.

• Select the Pen color to display.

• This sets the visual thickness of the Pen on the Editor.

• The larger the number, the wider the pen display. 

• Set the defaults for the Vinyl cartridge (described below).

The Vinyl Cartridge uses a special blade to cut the Vinyl which has been temporarily adhered to matboard to create the design.

• The Box Material Thickness designates the placement of the fold lines so that different thicknesses of material will fold properly into a box.

• Select whether to default to Cutting the Outside of the mat.

The Outside Bevel is created by cutting into the fallout surface with the blade angled at 45°/52°, thereby slanting the bevel under the fallout surface. The matboard core is not visible from the front.

The Bevel Type refers to the angle at which the blade cuts the surface of the matboard when it deviates from the 90° right angle cut.

Select Outside or Outside-Front of Mat from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control to edit this configuration.
