Footblock Definition

  • The Head contains the Footblock which holds the selected Cartridge for cutting or applying details to matboard.

Connections:

  • The Head is attached to the Gantry and moves vertically along it.

  • The Gantry is a spanning framework which attaches to the top and bottom of the Board and moves horizontally across it.

  • As the Gantry moves horizontally, the Head moves vertically and the Footblock rotates to apply the Cartridge to the matboard.

  • The Head Drop of the Head is controlled by the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry and the ECU/Driver Pack signals.

  • The Footblock Blade Plunge of the Footblock is controlled by the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry and the ECU/Driver Pack signals.
