Move Openings

Move Openings

Click and drag each opening into the desired position.

The art moves with the opening, so even if user returns to the previous screen, the art selection remains constant.

Delete Opening

Right-click on the desired opening and select Delete.

The opening is deleted.

Set Art Region - Right-Click Menu

Right-click on the desired opening and select Set Art Region.

This opens the project to Step 2: Set Regions with the current opening’s selection region active.

Click on the editor to place the current selection region onto the editor.

Opening image selection can be dragged to the desired position and resized.

This allows user to select a different size for the art, or even select a different art for an existing opening.

Guide Lines

Guide Lines

Guide Lines can be used to assist lining up openings. Because this is visualization, they are not further editable other than by clicking and dragging.

Right-click an opening.

Select vertical or horizontal guide.

Select desired direction to place guide.

Select the desired distance, if applicable.

Optionally, click and hold mouse button on the frame area just outside the matboard and drag onto the matboard area.

Openings automatically snap to the edge of a guide or center over it as they are dragged.

Several guidelines may be moved by selecting them (Shift + click) and moving them as a group, allowing them to snap to openings placed.

Borders (Tab)
Enter desired mat borders. Changes are automatically displayed in the editor screen.

Hit enter after changing a border value to change all the borders to the new value.

Tab through the fields to enter separate borders.

Click on Side Borders text the expand the fields into left/right border fields.

Clicking on Left Border text contracts border fields into side borders.

Measure From

Select layer from which to measure borders and guides; top or bottom layer.

Add a V-Groove

Click V-Groove checkbox to add a V-Groove to the top mat.

Unselect the V-Groove checkbox to not add a V-Groove to the top mat.

V-Groove Distance

This feature is only active when the V-Groove checkbox is selected. Enter the distance from the opening to place the V-Groove.

Manually size and position the V-Groove by clicking and dragging on the corners/sides.

Outsides (Tab)

Outsides (Tab)

Click the Outsides tab under Design Adjustments to edit the outside dimension.

Edit the width and the height of the outside dimensions.

Click Sizes to select recent or standard sizes.

Click Swap to switch numbers between width/height.

Dynamic Outsides

Select Dynamic Outside to add the entered borders to the current openings for a new outside size.

Dragging openings outside the bounding rectangle will readjust outside dimensions, making it easier to concentrate on design layout.

Template Shape:

Select the desired Template shape on the Reveals tab.

Each opening can use a different template.

A Fillet is template #107: Fillet. Changing it to another template will remove the fillet.

If Wizard MatDesignerâ„¢ software is installed on this computer, select any template from the template library.

If Wizard MatDesignerâ„¢ software is not installed on this computer, the only templates available will be rectangle and oval.

 

Mat Reveals

On the reveals tab, enter the desired Reveal for each layer for the currently selected opening.

RB (Reverse Bevel)

Click the RB checkbox to make the current layer a reverse bevel.

Layers containing fillets will automatically have RB checked.

Uncheck the RB checkbox to not make the current layer a reverse bevel.

Parameters

Select the Parameters tab to adjust the parameters for the current template.

Snapshot Viewer

Click Snapshot Viewer to bring the project to the snapshot viewer to view it full screen.

 

The snapshot viewer allows user and the customer to view the completed project full screen on separate monitors, save the snapshots for later viewing, and even display several snapshots on the screen at once for comparison.

Close Viewer

Click Close Viewer to close snapshot viewer and return to the visualize project screen.

Take Snapshot

Click Take Snapshot to take a picture of the current project in the snapshot viewer and display it on a new tab.

Each snapshot is drawn to the same scale. The user can compare using a wider moulding, etc. and the artwork remains consistently the same size. If there is a large number of image tabs, a slidebar allows scrolling through the images.

Take Snapshot Defaults

Optionally, turn on Auto-Snapshot in the defaults to automatically take a snapshot of the current project when clicking on Snapshot Viewer on Step 3.

Take Snapshot button is greyed out in this case, because it takes a snapshot automatically when going to the snapshot viewer.

View Modes

Click View Mode and select the desired view option from the dropdown control.

Save Snapshot

Saves the current full-screen snapshot as a *.JPG or *.TIF.

Customer View

The Customer View button toggles on/off the dual-monitor when using a dual-monitor setup. Click Customer View to push the current view to the customer’s monitor for full-screen viewing. This allows user to have full access to all of the screens, and the customer will only see the completed pieces. Each time user returns to the snapshot viewer, the customer view will be updated.

For initial setup, user may need to click and drag the customer’s screen manually over to the secondary monitor. Once there, resize and place as desired. This secondary screen setting will be remembered until it is changed.

Hitting F8 will cycle the current screen to different monitors, so that user can set up which one is the primary monitor and which is the customer view.

Snapshot Active

To bring a snapshot back into the editor for further editing:

Click View Mode on the shapshot viewer.

Select One at a Time (Full).

Right-click on the desired tab.

Select Make Snapshot Active in Editor.

Close the snapshot viewer and edit as desired.

Current Tab

The Current Tab displays the current project on the editor.

If the user brings a different snapshot to the editor to edit, the current tab is updated with the current project.

 

Print Image

Click Print Image to print out the visualization project.

Save Image to File

Click Save Image to File to save the current image as a *.JPG or *.TIF.

Save Wizard Mat File

Click Save Wizard Mat File to save the project as a Wizard MatDesignerâ„¢ file format to load onto the Wizard CMC to cut. If IF Retail Management has been installed, this button is changed to Send to IF-RM.

Send to IF-RM

This is a feature of IF Retail Management. Click Send to IF-RM to open this project in the IF Retail Management software to further edit.
