Camera Freezes up Randomly |
---|
If the camera freezes up randomly, try the suggestions listed below. |
Zoombrowser.exe Version Number |
---|
Check the version of the Zoombrowser.exe. This file may be on the desktop; if not, you may need to do a search for it. If this file cannot be found, it could be that the customer never installed the software that came with the camera. You need to install the Zoombrowser.exe from the disk that came with the camera. Double-Click on the Zoombrowser.exe to run it, then Click Help to see what version is installed. It should be running Zoombrowser.exe version 5.7 or greater. If not, go to Canon’s website (Canon Website and download the latest version of Zoombrowser for your camera. |
Use the Correct Camera USB Cable |
---|
You should use the USB Camera cable that came with the camera. If they substitute a different USB cable other than the one that came with the camera, you may experience problems. |
Use Cat5 Network Cable |
---|
Use a Cat5 Network Cable (this requires the Cat5 Adapter). If you require that the camera be located farther away from the computer than the camera’s own USB cable can reach, you must use a Cat5 Network Solution. You can also add up to an 8 foot USB extention to this configuration. The Cat5 Network Cable combined with the Cat5 Adapters at each end has a maximum length of 100 feet. If another type of cable is used, they will experience problems. |
Cat5 Adapter |
---|
Use a Cat5 Adapter at each end of the Cat5 Network Cable to connect it between the camera’s USB Cable and the Computer. |
