Samples Preview

Samples Preview

As selections are made, they are displayed in the samples preview screen and on the horizontal preview screen.

The horizontal preview area along the bottom displays the current selection and how the edges line up. User can move and adjust the select until the repeating pattern is as desired.

Rotate Selection

TIP: Laying the samples out on a grid help get samples horizontally aligned to make selections easier.

Since samples are rarely perfectly laid out, rotate the selection to match the frame/texture/art angle.

Click on selection rectangle to put it in focus.
The selection turns purple to show that it is in focus.

Move the cursor to the handle on the right side of the selection.
The handle changes to a double curved arrow.

Click on the handle on the right side and drag it up/down to rotate the selection.
The rotation value of the current selection is displayed next to the selection handle.

Release the cursor when the selection is rotated to the desired angle.

Frames

Enter the number of frames desired in the number of frames field.

Enter/Scan SKU of Frame

This option is a feature of IF Retail Management.

Click on the entry field on the desired layer to put it in focus.

Type, scan or select from the dropdown control the SKU of the desired frame.

When the field is tabbed out, the field will turn one of three colors, and the preview screen will be updated with the SKU image, if available.

  • Green: SKU found, and an image is available.

  • Blue: SKU found, but no image is available.

  • Red: SKU is not found, and no image is available.

Save SKU/Images

Save SKU/Images

Save current selections to the SKUs for future use.

Click Options > Save SKU Images.

The current selection(s) are saved under the associated SKU number.

Optionally, set defaults to save SKU images (see Options > Defaults for more information).

Tool Tip

Move the cursor over the SKU field to view the tool-tip information of the current SKU selection.

Set Frame Texture

Click Set Frame Texture icon on the desired layer to set the frame texture.

In the editor, click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the frame or fill sample desired.

Drag to the lower right corner of the sample, using the smallest repeatable section of the frame image.

Release the mouse button at the right end of the image.

Rotate the selection as needed to match the frame sample.

The selection is displayed in the samples preview windows.

Mats

Enter the number of mat layers desired in the number of layers field.

This option is a feature of IF Retail Management.

Click on the entry field on the desired layer to put it in focus.

Type, scan or select from the dropdown control the SKU of the desired mat.

When the field is tabbed out, the field will turn one of three colors, and the preview screen will be updated with the SKU image, if available.

  • Blue: SKU found, but no image is available.

  • Red: SKU is not found, and no image is available.

Click Set Color icon on the desired layer to set the mat color.

In the editor, click on the desired color to select it.

The color displays in the samples preview window.

Double-click on the set color button to open up the standard Microsoft Windows color palette.

Select the desired color by:

  • Entering the RGB value.

  • Selecting from custom colors.

  • Moving the selector cursor over the color swatch preview; click to select.

Click Set Texture icon on the desired layer to select the mat texture.

In the editor, click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the texture desired.

Drag to the lower right corner of the sample, using the smallest repeatable section of the texture image.

Release the mouse button to make the selection.

The selection is displayed in the samples preview window.

Click Set Color Core icon.

In the editor, click on the desired color to select it.

The color displays in the samples preview window as the matboard core color.

Enter the number of fillets desired in the number of fillets field. The fillets feature is only active after the number of fillets is selected.

If a fillet is selected, the opening is changed to Template #107: Fillet and can only be displayed as a rectangle.

Select the layer for the fillet from the dropdown control.

Art: Set Art Region

Click Set Art Region.

In the editor, click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the artwork.

Drag to the lower right corner of the artwork, releasing the mouse button at the right end of the image.

The size of the area selected will be displayed in the width and height fields, which may be edited if desired.

Multi (Openings)

Click the Multi tab under Art to add other opening(s).

Add New Opening

Click Add New under Art to add a new opening.

In the editor, click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the artwork.

Drag to the lower right corner of the artwork, releasing the mouse button at the right end of the image.

 

The size of the area selected will be displayed in the width and height fields, which may be edited if desired.

Remove Opening

Delete opening(s) on Step 3: Visualize window.

Click Next

Click Next

After making the desired selections, click Next on the upper left of the menu bar.
