Menu Options

There are a variety of commands available through the Integrated Framer menu.

New Project: Clear out the current project and start a new project.

New Project from CMC File: Start a project by loading a saved MatDesigner CMC file.

Load Project from Disk: Load a saved project from a drive.

Save Project to Disk: Save a project to a drive.

Load Project from Server: Load a saved project from the server. Must have IF Retail Management to use this feature.

Save Project to Server: Save a project to the server where it can be retrieved across the network on another computer. Must have IF Retail Management to use this feature.

Save Project Image: Save current project image, such as a snapshot from the camera to use for future projects. This option is not available on Step 3: Visualize Project.

Save Preview Image: Save preview image on the visualize project screen as a *.JPG or *.TIF. This can only be done on Step 3: Visualize Project.

Save Wizard CMC File: Save the project as a Wizard file to load into Wizard MatDesigner to cut. This can only be done on Step 3: Visualize Project.

Exit: Exit the software.

View License: Display the license settings and Customer ID.

Activate Product: This button displays only if the software is not activated. Click Activate Product to activate Integrated Framer Visualization software to make it fully functional.

Capture Image From: Select from camera or TWAIN device listed.

Select TWAIN Source: Select the desired TWAIN source.

Calibrate Zoom: This feature measures a known distance with a zoom lens camera. For information on using a zoom lens camera, see the “Camera Zoom Calibration” document.

Set Scale: Applies a new scale factor to the image so that accurate measurements can be obtained when using the image. Set a new scale factor each time the camera is moved or the zoom changes.

Create Color Profile: Sets up color profiles for the system. This takes into account color, lighting, and other variables specific to the camera location. See Create Color Profile at the end of this manual.

Use Color Profile: Select the desired color profile to use from the Use Color Profile option menu dropdown selection. See Use Color Profile at the end of this manual.

Manage Color Profiles: Manages previously created color profiles. See Manage Color Profiles at the end of this manual.

Check Monitor: Opens the monitor target sheet onto the screen. Adjust the monitor settings to match the display to the printed chart. This window can be maximized if desired.

Set Defaults:

  • Number of Frames: Default number of frames.

  • Number of Mat Layers: Default number of mats.

  • Number of Fillets: Default number of fillets.

  • Mat Borders: Default mat border width.

  • Measure From: Select from which layer to measure borders and guides: top or bottom.

  • Mat Reveal Width: Default mat reveal width.

  • Add a V-Groove: Click V-Groove checkbox to default to adding a V-Groove.

  • V-Groove Distance: Default V-Groove distance from total bounding rectangle of opening(s).
    Unit of Measurement: This function can only be selected when no project or image is open. Select inches, centimeters or millimeters.

  • Auto-Snapshot: Automatically takes a snapshot of the current project to use in Snapshot Viewer. If unselected, manually take a snapshot by clicking Snapshot Viewer, then Take Snapshot.

  • Dynamic Outsides: Adds the border distance to the layout of openings and automatically adjusts outside dimensions. Dragging openings outside the bounding rectangle will readjust outside dimensions, making it easier to concentrate on design layout.

  • Preview Image Output Size: Set the default size for saving the preview image.

Wink Lens Type: Select the Wink lens type from the dropdown control to designate the lens type being used.

  • Pole Mount: Select Pole Mount if using the pole mount attached to a table.

  • Ceiling Mount: Select Ceiling Mount if the Wink is attached to the ceiling and is using the extended lens.

Saving SKU Images: Must have IF Retail Management to use the feature. When SKUs are entered and a color or image region is set during use, the software will prompt to add those images to the database when the design session is complete. In the future, then that image will be retrieved and used when the corresponding SKU is entered in the SKU boxes.

  • Always Save: always save image with SKU.

  • Always Ask: always ask before saving image with SKU.

  • Ask If New: only ask if the image is new to the SKU.

Change Locale: Select a different locale for the software.

Change DB Settings: This is a feature of IF Retail Management. Only make changes on this screen by advice of a Wizard technician.

  • Server Name: name of the server computer.

  • Instance Name: name of the instance; WIZRMS.

  • Database Name: name of the Database.

Set Wall Color from Palette: Select a different wall color to display the project on.

Set Wall Color from Image: Select a different wall color on which to display the project, using a color from the image. Move the cursor to the desired color on the image and click to select.

Show Rulers: Select Show Rulers to display rulers on top of the moulding on Step 3: Visualize; unselect to not display rulers.

Print Target: Click Print Target to print out the target that is used when calibrating a zoom lens camera. For information on using a zoom lens camera, see the “Camera Zoom Calibration” document.

Save SKU Images: This is a feature of IF Retail Management. Save the currently selected regions as SKU images.

Zoom In/Zoom Out Buttons

Zoom In/Zoom Out Buttons

The zoom in and zoom out buttons are in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Zooming in makes it easier to select small texture regions.

  • Zoom to Window: Select a portion of the current image that will be zoomed to fill the screen. In the editor, click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the area desired. Then click and drag to the lower right corner of the area desired, releasing the mouse button at the right end of the image. This area will be zoomed to fill the screen.

  • Zoom In: Increase the zoom scale of the current image by a small amount.

  • Zoom Out: Decrease the zoom scale of the current image by a small amount.

  • Zoom All: Zoom all to see the entire image.

When a region is selected:

CTRL + arrow key moves/nudges region in indicated direction.

CTRL + Page Up rotates/nudges region counter-clockwise.

CTRL + Page Down rotates/nudges region clockwise.

F8: This feature is only available on a dual-monitor setup. Hit F8 on the snapshot viewer screen to cycle the current screen to the different monitors to set up which is the primary monitor and customer monitor.

Placing the cursor over a selection bounding rectangle will display information about the selection along the status bar along the bottom of the screen, including what the selection is for.

Clicking on the selection bounding rectangle allows the selection to be edited.

When a selection bounding rectangle is in focus, the selection bounding rectangle is displayed in purple.

Sending Projects to IFV from IFRM

When bringing a project into IF Visualization software from IF Retail Management software, the software opens to Step 1: Load an Image. Because IF Retail Management has no prior information on the desired images, they can be selected here. If the opening mat size(s) have already been entered, they will be displayed on Step 3: Visualize Project.
