Changing the Blade on the 45 Degree Cartridge

Your hardware may look different than the model pictured, but the process is still the same.

Push the Blade Cartridge Release Lever down to eject the current Blade Cartridge.

Remove the Blade from Blade Cartridge, being mindful of the sharp edge.

The Blade Cartridge displays a Diagram of the Blade Orientation (shown in contrast). 

Place the new Blade into the Cartridge with the longest side to the right and the bevel face down, lining up the bottom hole of the Blade over the pin in the Cartridge.

The Blade should fit snugly into the recess space provided for it.

NOTE: If there is any side-to-side movement of the Blade in the Blade Cartridge, it is time to replace the Blade Cartridge.

Insert the new Cartridge into the Footblock with the Blade facing toward the Board and the Notch on the back of the Cartridge facing the Head.

It should click into place.
