The Head contains the Footblock which holds the selected Cartridge for cutting or applying details to matboard.
Connections:
The Head is attached to the Gantry and moves vertically along it.
The Gantry is a spanning framework which attaches to the top and bottom of the Board and moves horizontally across it.
As the Gantry moves horizontally, the Head moves vertically and the Footblock rotates to apply the Cartridge to the matboard.
The Head Drop of the Head is controlled by the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry and the ECU/Driver Pack signals.
The Footblock Blade Plunge of the Footblock is controlled by the Air Valve Assembly located in the Gantry and the ECU/Driver Pack signals.
Troubleshooting:
If the Footblock is suddenly misrotating:
Make sure the Blade Cartridge Release Lever hasn’t been knocked out of position. Manually rotate the Footblock to see if the Blade Cartridge Release Lever is striking something and rotate it back into position.
Are the connection cables for the ECU/Driver Pack, Gantry, Computer and Control Panel (if appropriate) on tight?
Turn off the ECU/Driver Pack close the software. Turn on the ECU/Driver Pack restart the software.
If you are getting twisted corners:
Clean the Footblock: Footblock Cleaning and Lubrication.
