 Vinyl Cartridge Definition

The Vinyl Cartridge uses a special blade to cut the Vinyl which has been temporarily adhered to matboard to create the design.

Vinyl is Cut in the Wrong Place Horizontally

 Vinyl Horizontal Adjustment Definition

The Horizontal Adjustment defines the global Horizontal placement of objects applied with the Vinyl Cartridges.

If the Vinyl line is applied Too Far Left Horizontally, Increase the Horizontal Adjustment.

If the Vinyl line is applied Too Far Right Horizontally, Decrease the Horizontal Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Horizontal Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Vinyl is Cut in the Wrong Place Vertically

 Vinyl Vertical Adjustment Definition

The Vertical Adjustment defines the global Vertical placement of objects applied with the Vinyl Cartridges.

If the Vinyl line is applied Too Far Up Vertically, Decrease the Vertical Adjustment.

If the Vinyl line is applied Too Far Down Vertically, Increase the Vertical Adjustment.

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Vinyl is Cut the Wrong Size

 Vinyl Opening Adjustment Definition

The Opening Adjustment controls the size of the Opening cut or Object applied with non-blade cartridges.

If the Vinyl is cut Too Large, Decrease the Opening Adjustment.

If the Vinyl is cut Too Small, Increase the Opening Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Opening Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Vinyl Cut at the Wrong Depth

 Vinyl Depth Setting Definition

The Depth Setting controls the Blade Depth for the Non-Blade Tools in the Configurations.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Deep, Decrease the Depth Setting.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Shallow, Increase the Depth Setting.

Vinyl Cartridge Tears the Mat

  • The Non-Blade Tool Tears the Corners, Increase the Corner Pause

  • The Non-Blade Tool is pausing too long in the Corners, Decrease the Corner Pause

 Vinyl Corner Pause Definition

The Corner Pause setting in Configurations is the amount of time, in milliseconds, to pause the application of the Non-Blade Tools between segments.

The Non-Blade Tool Tears the Corners, Increase the Corner Pause

The Non-Blade Tool is pausing too long in the Corners, Decrease the Corner Pause

Vinyl Lines are too Long

  • If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

 Vinyl Overshoot Definition

The Overshoot controls how far past the end of the Line/Arc Segment to apply the Non-Blade Tool (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl).

If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

This is similar to the Overcut used with the Blade cartridges.

  • If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Short, Increase the Overshoot.

Vinyl Set to Plunge Between Segments

  • The Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges, select Unplunge.

  • The Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply, select Plunge.

 Vinyl Plunge Definition

The Plunge function controls whether to Plunge/Unplunge between the Line/Arc Segments of an object when applying a Non-Blade Tool.

The Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges, select Unplunge.

The Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply, select Plunge.

This is different from the Plunge Count which controls the number of Blade Plunges for each Blade Cartridge before pausing for a Blade Change.
