Mat Clamp Pressure Adjustment: CMC Z Series

Mat Clamp Pressure Adjustment: CMC Z Series

  • This page describes how to use the Mat Clamp Pressure Adjustment on the Control Panel of the left side of the CMC Z Series Board to adjust the SmartClamps™ Pressure.

  • The Control Panel is located on the left side of the CMC Z Series Board.

  • The Control Panel contains the Emergency Stop button, Clamp Pressure Adjustment, Mat Clamp Pressure Knob and the Push to Cut Button.

Setting the Mat Clamp Pressure

  • You can toggle the Air Pressure for the SmartClamps™ between Standard and Low Pressure with the Mat Clamp Pressure Knob located on the Control Panel on the left side of the Board.

  • This will allow you to cut delicate material such as foamcore without crushing the material in the Clamps.

  • The amount of Air Pressure that the Mat Clamp Pressure Knob uses can be adjusted with the the Clamp Pressure Adjustment mounted under the Control Panel.

Standard Clamp Pressure

  • Push in the Clamp Pressure Knob to use the Standard Clamp Air Pressure, which is suitable for most material.

Low Clamp Pressure

  • Pull out the Clamp Pressure Knob to use Low Clamp Air Pressure, which is suitable for more delicate material, such as foamcore.

  • Lower pressure is applied to the mat Clamps so that it does not crush the material.

  • When you have finished cutting the delicate material you can push in the Clamp Pressure Knob to reapply the standard Air Pressure to the Clamps.

Clamp Pressure Adjustment

  • The Clamp Pressure Adjustment is used to adjust the Low Clamp Air Pressure setting.

  • The Clamp Pressure Adjustment is part of the Control Panel on the left side of the CMC Z-Series Board.

  • The gauge displays the clamp pressure as it is cutting.

  • Clamp pressure is set at the factory and normally doesn’t need adjustment.
