Vertical Belt Pulley Lubrication Instructions: All Current CMC Models

Lubricate the Gantry Vertical Belt Pulley when there is loud squeaking when the Head is travelling up or down the Gantry.

Reset the motors by clicking the the Reset Motors Button on the FrameShop software.

Remove the lower Gantry Cover by removing the screw holding it in place.

Pull the Head about halfway up the Gantry, and use a piece of matboard under the Head Wheel to wedge it into place.

Use Dry Silicone Lubricant Spray (not GEL) to lubricate both sides of the bottom Gantry Vertical Belt Pulley.

Use a cloth to wipe up any excess lubricant.

Remove the matboard holding the Head in place and move the Head up and down the length of the Gantry to work in the lubricant.

The squeak should be gone; if not, repeat the above steps.

Reinstall the Gantry Cover(s), replacing the screws you removed earlier.
