Check Squareness by Comparing Drive Belt Lines

Check Squareness by Comparing Drive Belt Lines

  • If the red lines on the Drive Belt do not line up to the red lines on the toothed pulley on the Gantry, it shows that the Drive Belt has skipped a tooth and that the cuts will be out of square.

  • Remove the Gantry covers by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place and set aside.

  • Move the Gantry to the right and back to the far left.

  • Looking at the upper Drive Belt, slowly move the Gantry toward the right again until you see a red line on the Drive Belt.

  • Confirm that the red line lines up with the red line on the Drive Pulley.

  • Without moving the Gantry, look at the lower Drive Belt and make sure the red lines line up on the Drive Belt and the Drive Pulley.

  • Determine which one does not line up; we will adjust the Drive Belt of the one that does not line up.
