Mats and Fillets

Use the Mats and Fillets section to select the Mat and Fillet SKUs, and/or textures or colors.

Enter the Number of Mats you want to use in this project.

Enter the number of mats/fillets desired in the Number of Mats field.

A SKU field for each mat listing is displayed where you can enter or select the SKU or select a texture or color for the mat layer.

You can save the texture/color selected for each mat layer to the associated SKU. See Save SKU Images below.

Enter or scan the SKU of each mat or fillet.

Type, scan or enter the desired SKU of the desired mat/fillet.

The mat SKU thumbnail, if available, will be displayed in the samples preview and on the Preview tab.

If a SKU thumbnail is not available, you can create one. See Set Texture below.

If you don't know the SKU number, you can do a search. See Select the SKU From the Search Screen below.

Select the desired mat/fillet SKU for each mat layer.

To search for a SKU, click on the SKU search button (magnifying glass) to open the SKU search screen.

Start typing in the desired SKU and hit Enter to search.

Locate and click on the desired SKU.

Click on the Select and Close button to select it.

If the texture thumbnail for the SKU selected is available, it will appear on the Samples Preview.

If it is not available, it will display as a clear checkerboard patterned placeholder as noted in In Lieu of a Texture Thumbnail below.

If the texture or color thumbnail for the SKU selected is not available, it will display as a clear checkerboard pattern placeholder on the Samples Preview.  

You can select a thumbnail and save it to the SKU for future use. See Set Texture, Set Solid Color, Set Color Core, or Set SKU by Color below.

Use the Set Texture feature to create a thumbnail for the selected SKU.

Take a photo or load an image file of the matboard that you wish to use and have that image displayed on the screen. 

Click the down arrow next to the desired mat layer and select Set Texture to set the mat texture.  

Click and hold the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the mat or fill sample desired.  

Drag to the lower right corner of the sample, using the smallest repeatable section of the mat texture.  

Release the mouse button at the right end of the desired thumbnail image. 

The repeating pattern is shown on the Selection Preview at the bottom of the screen to assist with selection and rotation. 

When finished, Save SKU Images to save this thumbnail to the SKU for future reference.

Rotate the mat selection as needed to match the mat texture sample by clicking on the rotation control point located off to the right side of the selection.

Hold and drag the control point up or down to rotate the selection. 

Release the mouse when the selection is rotated to the desired position.

The repeating pattern is shown on the Selection Preview at the bottom of the screen to assist with selection and rotation. 

Set Solid Color

Use the Set Solid Color function to select the solid color for the selected mat SKU.

Take a photo or load an image file of the matboard that you wish to use and have that image displayed on the screen. 

Click the down arrow next to the desired frame layer and select Set Solid Color to select the mat color. 

On the editor, click on the desired color to select it.

The selected color is displayed in the Samples Preview window as the matboard color. 

When finished, Save SKU Images to save this thumbnail to the SKU for future reference.

Use the Set Core Color function to select the core color for the selected mat SKU.

Take a photo or load an image file of the matboard that you wish to use and have that image on the screen. 

Click the down arrow next to the desired frame layer and select Set Core Color to select the mat color core. 

On the editor, click on the desired color to select it. 

The selected core color displays in the Preview Tab as the matboard core color.

When finished, Save SKU Images to save this thumbnail to the SKU for future reference.

Use the Set SKU by Color function to select the appropriate color SKU by matching the selected color to SKUs in the database.

Take a photo or load an image file of the matboard that you wish to use and have that image on the screen. 

Click the down arrow next to the desired frame layer and select 

Set SKU by Color to select the mat color SKU. 

On the editor, click on the desired color to select it. 

The Select Color SKU screen will open with a listing of color SKUs related to the color selected.

Click on the desired SKU to select it and click the Select button. 

The selected mat color displays in the Preview Tab as the matboard color.

Use the Set Color with the Complimentary Color Palette function to set the SKU of the mat layer from the Color Palette generated by the currently displayed image.

Take a photo or load an image file of the artwork that you wish to use. Have that image on the screen and the Art Region selected from it. 

The Complimentary Colors Palette will display the complimentary colors associated with the currently selected Art Region.

Click on the desired color displayed in the Complimentary Colors section, select the desired mat layer for the color, and select either Color or Mat SKU.

If you select Color, it will apply the color to the selected layer.

If you select Mat SKU, it opens the Select Color SKU screen. See Set SKU by Color above.

Optionally, select to add it as a new mat layer.

If the Complimentary Color Palette section is not displayed, return to the Art Regions tab and click on the desired art region. 

The palette is created using the colors within the selected art region.

When finished, Save SKU Images to save this thumbnail to the SKU for future reference. 

The current thumbnail selection is displayed in the Corner Sample window.

When finished, Save SKU Images to save the thumbnails and selected colors to the assigned SKU.

Click File > Save SKU Images. 

Save the selected thumbnails/colors to the assigned SKUs.
