Vertical Home for V-Grooves

The Vertical Home defines the global vertical placement of objects cut with the blade cartridges.

V-Groove Cuts too Far Up when Not Cutting the Outside: Bottom Border too Big

Adjust the Vertical Home if the V-Groove is cutting too far up when you are not cutting the outside of the mat. This is measured from the inside of the bevel to the edge of the mat.

The V-Groove is cutting too far up, making the bottom border too big.

Decrease the Vertical Home.

The V-Groove will now cut in the correct place.

V-Groove Cuts too Far Down when Not Cutting the Outside: Bottom Border too Small

Adjust the Vertical Home if the V-Groove is cutting too far down when you are not cutting the outside of the mat. This is measured from the inside of the bevel to the edge of the mat.

The V-Groove is cutting too far down, making the bottom border too small.

Increase the Vertical Home.

The V-Groove will now cut in the correct place.

Vertical Home Troubleshooting

Alternatively, adjust the Vertical Home on the Troubleshooting Screen. Make sure that you only have a V-Groove on the screen.

Adjusting the Vertical Position for Non-Blade Cartridges

To adjust the Vertical placement of the non-blade cartridges, (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl tools), see Vertical Adjustment.
