Circle/Oval Rotation Utility

 Feather in Oval Opening Definition

A Feather in an Oval Opening is a Fringe of material left behind where the cut started and ended on the Oval.

If the Oval Opening has a Feather, Decrease the Oval Rotation.

 Bumps in Oval Opening Definition

A Bump in an Oval Opening is a Lump of material left behind where the cut started and ended.

If the Oval Opening has a Bump, Increase the Oval Rotation.

 How to Adjust the Oval Rotation

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Calculate Home Adjustments

  1. Cut a one layer rectangle opening without Cutting the Outside

  2. From the front of the mat, measure the Right and Bottom borders from the inside of the bevel to the edge of the mat.

  3. Enter those values into the Act Right Border (Actual Right Border) and Act Btm Border (Actual Bottom Border) fields.  

  4. Click on the Calc Home Adjustments button to recalculate and adjust the Horizontal and Vertical positions.

  5. Do a test cut to confirm that it is correct and readjust if necessary.

 Horizontal Home General Definition

The Horizontal Home defines the global Horizontal placement of objects cut with the Blade Cartridges.

If the Opening is cut Too Far Left Horizontally, Increase the Horizontal Home.

If the Opening is cut Too Far Right Horizontally, Decrease the Horizontal Home.

 Vertical Home General Definition

The Vertical Home defines the global Vertical placement of objects cut with the Blade Cartridges.

If the Opening is cut Too Far Up Vertically, Decrease the Vertical Home.

If the Opening is cut Too Far Down Vertically, Increase the Vertical Home.

Calculate Opening Adjustments

  1. Cut a one layer rectangle opening. 

  2. From the front of the mat, measure the Width and Height of the opening from the inside of the bevel. 

  3. Enter those values into the Actual Height and Actual Width fields. 

  4. Click on the Calc Opening Adjustment button to recalculate and adjust the Opening Adjustment value. 

  5. Do a test cut to confirm that it is correct and readjust if necessary.
