Adjusting Oval V-Grooves

  • Select which part of the V-Groove to edit (Outside, Inside, Both) by clicking the desired radio-buttons between the Less Feather and Less Bump sections.

  • Select which part of the object to edit by clicking the Less Feather or Less Bump buttons.

  • If the Outside cut of the Oval V-Groove has a Feather, select Less Feather.

  • If the Outside cut of the Oval V-Groove cuts with a Bump, select Less Bump.

  • If the Inside cut of the Oval V-Groove has a Feather, select Less Feather.

  • If the Inside cut of the Oval V-Groove cuts with a Bump, select Less Bump.


  • A Feather in an Oval V-Groove is a Fringe of material left behind where the cut started and ended on either the inside/outside cut of the Oval V-Groove.

    • If Oval V-Groove Outside has a Feather, Increase the Outside Oval Rotation.

    • If Oval V-Groove Inside has a Feather, Decrease the Inside Oval Rotation.

  • A Bump in an Oval V-Groove is a Lump of material left behind where the cut started and ended on either the inside/outside cut of the Oval V-Groove.

    • If Oval V-Groove Outside has a Bump, Decrease the Outside Oval Rotation.

    • If Oval V-Groove Inside has a Bump, Increase the Inside Oval Rotation.
