 Deboss Thin Definition

The Deboss Thin White cartridge stylus presses onto the surface of the matboard to create a subtle design with a Thin line.

There are three Deboss stylus sizes: Wide, Medium, Thin.

In addition to Template Shapes, you can also Deboss CutArts, LetterMats and TTFs.

Deboss-Thin is Applied to the Wrong Place Horizontally 

 Deboss Horizontal Adjustment Definition

The Horizontal Adjustment defines the global Horizontal placement of objects applied with the Deboss Cartridges.

If the Deboss line is applied Too Far Left Horizontally, Increase the Horizontal Adjustment.

If the Deboss line is applied Too Far Right Horizontally, Decrease the Horizontal Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Horizontal Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Thin is Applied to the Wrong Place Vertically 

 Deboss Vertical Adjustment Definition

The Vertical Adjustment defines the global Vertical placement of objects applied with the Deboss Cartridges.

If the Deboss line is applied Too Far Up Vertically, Decrease the Vertical Adjustment.

If the Deboss line is applied Too Far Down Vertically, Increase the Vertical Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Vertical Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Thin is the Wrong Size

 Deboss Opening Adjustment Definition

The Opening Adjustment controls the size of the Opening cut or Object applied with non-blade cartridges.

If the Deboss is Too Large, Decrease the Opening Adjustment.

If the Deboss is Too Small, Increase the Opening Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Opening Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Thin Applied at the Wrong Depth

 Deboss Depth Setting Definition

The Depth Setting controls the Blade Depth for the Non-Blade Tools in the Configurations.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Deep, Decrease the Depth Setting.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Shallow, Increase the Depth Setting.

Deboss-Thin Cartridge Tears the Mat 

  • The Non-Blade Tool Tears the Corners, Increase the Corner Pause

  • The Non-Blade Tool is pausing too long in the Corners, Decrease the Corner Pause

 Deboss Corner Pause Definition

The Corner Pause setting in Configurations is the amount of time, in milliseconds, to pause the application of the Non-Blade Tools between segments.

The Non-Blade Tool Tears the Corners, Increase the Corner Pause

The Non-Blade Tool is pausing too long in the Corners, Decrease the Corner Pause

Deboss-Thin Lines are too Long

  • If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

 Deboss Overshoot Definition

The Overshoot controls how far past the end of the Line/Arc Segment to apply the Non-Blade Tool (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl).

If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Short, Increase the Overshoot.

This is similar to the Overcut used with the Blade cartridges.

Deboss-Thin Set to Plunge Between Segments

  • The Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges, unselect Plunge.

  • The Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply, select Plunge.

 Deboss Plunge Definition

The Plunge function controls whether to Plunge/Unplunge between the Line/Arc Segments of an object when applying a Non-Blade Tool.

The Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges, select Unplunge.

The Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply, select Plunge.

This is different from the Plunge Count which controls the number of Blade Plunges for each Blade Cartridge before pausing for a Blade Change.

 Troubleshooting Button Definition

The Troubleshooting Utility allows you to bring in a single opening and automatically selects the correct Cartridge tab and Bevel Type to configure.
