Cleaning the Air Clamp Rail: CMC Models with Air Clamp Rails

Debris has a chance to build up behind the Air Clamps on the CMC 5000, 8000 and 8500 models.

The debris will eventually bow the Air Clamps out of the Air Clamp Rail.

This is apparent if the customer places a piece of matboard into the lower Air Clamp Rail and slides it to the left, and the Air Clamp begins to bind up.

Remove the Air Clamp Rail.

Clean out the debris.

Never use sharp instruments to clean out the Air Clamps or the Air Clamp Rails.

Replace the Air Clamp and the Air Clamp Rail.
