Open from PathTrace | |

Click on the Cut Current Design Button. Optionally, click File > Cut Current Design. |  |
A prompt for the mat size will display. Enter the mat size and click Ok. |  |
The design will be opened into the MatDesigner cut preview. | |
Only traced information displays on the cut preview. If the design is not traced, click on the minimized PathTrace icon on the taskbar to restore it and trace the design. | |
Open as a CutArt File | |

Open MatDesigner. Click on Edit New Mat. Click Cancel to start with the default outside dimension. Click on Add CutArt Object from the Objects Tab. | |
Locate the CutArt file and click on it to select it. The CutArt will be previewed on the right. | |
Click OK to place it on the Work Space. | |
Open as a Path (PATH) File | |

Open Explorer by right-clicking on Start and select Explore. Locate the desired file. | |
Double-click on it to open it into the MatDesigner cut preview. NOTE: Saving and opening a design as a Path file is not as flexible as saving the design as a CutArt (WCX). Paths will only cut the size they were drawn, cannot be moved or altered. CutArts are flexible in size, position, and orientation. | |
