Deboss/Pen/Vinyl: How to Change a Template to Deboss/Pen/Vinyl/V-Groove

You cannot directly select a Non-Blade Cartridge for a Template Layer.

However, these instructions will show you how to change a Deboss/Pen/Vinyl/V-Groove object into a Template Shape.

For these instructions, we will use a Deboss, although the steps will also work for the Pen/Vinyl/V-Groove.

Click New Mat Design on the FrameShop Main Page.

Click Cancel on the New Openings Screen.

On the Openings Tab, click on Add Decorative Line and select Deboss Medium.

Click on the Properties Tab to edit it.

Enter the desired size for the Deboss opening.

Click the Template Number and Name button.

Do not click the Change to Template button, as that will change the Deboss to the Template instead of changing the Deboss shape.

The Template Library will open.

Select a different Template SHAPE for the Deboss. 

• Templates not available for this function are not displayed.  

The Deboss shape will change to this template shape.

You can now finish your design as desired.
