Joining Sections

  • Hold down the CTRL key and select at least two adjoining segments.

    • They will turn white.

 Join Tool Definition

The Join button will connect the Selected Segments together as one object in Trace

The Auto Join Segments button will automatically join All Adjacent Segments together in Trace.

  • Click on each segment in their sequence order. 

  • Click the Join button.

  • For Additional Information:

  • Select Edit>Auto Join Segments to automatically join all of the adjacent segments together.

  • Click the Auto Join Segments button to automatically join all of the adjacent segments together.

  • Click the Close button to close the last segment if not completed by the Join commands.

  • The segments will be connected together.

  • Click the Close button to close the remaining open segment. 

    • The object is now an Enclosed entity that can be traced and cut as an opening.

 Close Tool Definition

The Close/wiki/spaces/FrameShop8x/pages/1942694580tool will connect the remaining open Segment of an object to complete the Circuit in Trace.

This is usually the last step after Joining the segments.
