Bevel Type Examples

  • The examples below display the different bevel types that can be cut with the bladed cartridges.

Normal Bevel Opening

  • The Normal Bevel Opening is created by cutting into the matboard surface with the blade angled at 45°/52°, thereby slanting the bevel away from the matboard surface.

    • The matboard core is visible from the front.

Reverse Bevel Opening

  • The Reverse Bevel Opening is created by cutting into the matboard surface with the blade angled at 45°/52°, thereby slanting the bevel under the matboard surface.

Closed V-Groove

  • A Normal Bevel Closed V-Groove involves two symmetrical cuts: one in the matboard and a corresponding cut in the fallout, both forming a mirrored arrangement.

  • The matboard is sliced halfway through the thickness and the matboard core is visible from the front.

Normal Bevel Open V-Groove

  • The 45° Normal Bevel Open V-Groove involves two symmetrical cuts: one in the matboard and a corresponding cut in the fallout, both forming a mirrored arrangement a specified distance apart.

  • Both the matboard core and the lower layer matboard surface are visible from the front.

  • The 45° Blade Cartridge does not support Blade Depths above 16.
