These instructions will explain how to remove the Head, replace the motor, and reinstall the Head on the Eclipse.

Remove Head | ||

1 | Shut down the system. Remove four 3mm Allen Screws holding the Head cover in place. | |
2 | There are two on the top and two on the bottom. | |
3 | Unplug Head electrical connectors and airlines; firmly grasp connector/airline and pull apart. | |
4 | Unscrew Head from Hinges by removing 1/8” Allen Screws underneath Head; support the Head. Keep Hinges attached to Trolley. Remove the Head and set aside. |
Remove Motor | ||

1 | Remove three 5/32” Allen screws holding motor to Head. | |
2 | Pull out motor. |
Replace Motor | ||
---|---|---|
1 | Remove Blade and hold Head with Head Latch on top. | |
2 | Insert new motor into position, lining up motor/Head screw holes. | |
3 | Loosely finger-tighten 5/32” Allen screws, and push motor upwards, then let motor drop about 1/16”. | |
4 | Fully tighten Allen Screws into place. | |
5 | Rotate and plunge/unplunge footblock and check for any binding. If you feel any binding in the gears, loosen the Allen Screws holding the motor in place and pull it down slightly, then retighten. Repeat as necessary. |
Attach Head | |
---|---|
Attach Head to Hinges using 1/8” Allen Screws. | |
Reattach connectors and airlines by attaching matching connectors together. | |
Reattach Head cover using 3mm Allen Screws. | |
Attach both top and bottom of the Head cover. Insert Blade into Head. |
