Replacing the AirGlide Clamp Switch

  • Disconnect the air supply from the AirGlide.

  • On the back of the AirGlide at the base of the backing board, loosen the three bolts on the left side backing board stabilizer.

  • Carefully remove the backing board.

  • Remove the nut on the front of the Clamp Switch.

  • From the back, carefully remove the Clamp Switch.

  • Locate the black and clear air lines on the back of the Clamp Switch.

  • With a blade, cut the black air line from the Tee, taking care not to cut into the connector itself.

  • Remove the old switch assembly.

  • Disconnect the clear air line from the white fitting on the Clamp Switch.

  • Locate the replacement Clamp Switch.

  • Connect the black airline onto the Tee; connect the clear airline to the white connector.

  • Insert the replacement Clamp Switch into the clamp switch hole in the control panel.

  • Place the nut onto the Clamp Switch and tighten into place.

  • Replace the backing board onto the AirGlide.

  • Tighten the three bolts into the backing board stabilizer on the back of the AirGlide at the base of the backing board.

  • Connect AirGlide to compressor and discard the old Clamp Switch.
