Design Opening in FrameShop |
---|
First we need to make sure we are designing the layers in the correct order for these instructions. On the FrameShop Main Page, click Admin and stay on the Defaults tab. Under Layer Direction select Bottom Up if it is not already set to that. Click Save and return to the Main Page.

Place a V-Groove |
---|
Make sure that the Opening is selected. Click on the Openings tab. Click the Add V-Groove button. Enter 1" for the Offset value and click OK.
A 45° Normal Bevel Closed V-Groove involves two symmetrical cuts: one in the matboard and a corresponding cut in the fallout, both forming a mirrored arrangement. The matboard is cut halfway through its thickness, revealing the core from the front. The 45° Blade Cartridge does not support Blade Depths above 16.

Pull down the Bottom of the V-Groove and let it snap to the bottom Horizontal Guideline that we placed. Make sure you are pulling the V-Groove down and not just moving it. Release the mouse to place it.

Comparison |
---|
You can see how much we changed the design when you compare it to the original version. You can also run through these same steps to place a LetterMat, TTF, Deboss, Pen or Crease item or other object onto a layer other than the top layer. |
